When you have installed the windows 2000 or XP on your computer and the next step is join your client computer to Domain controller.

Perform the following steps to join your client computer to the domain controller.
To join the client to domain controller, first set proper DNS IP in NIC properties on client computer.

Now right click on "My Computer" icon and then "Properties" tab
Here a small dialog box will appear with the name "System Properties", click on "Computer Name" tab and then click on "Change" button.

Now select the option "Domain:" under "Member of" section, and type the domain name (in this case champion.com) then click Ok button.

Here computer will prompt you "Domain Username and Password" dialog box, type the proper domain controller username and password.

Click Ok then restart your computer to save settings.
